Systemic risk capital buffer due to financial system’s structural properties

 

 

The Finnish financial supervisory authority has under the Act on Credit Institutions’ (610/2014)  chapter 10 sections 4 and 6a set to the Amalgamation of POP Banks (POP Bank Alliance Coop 1090961-3) a systemic risk capital buffer of 1,0%, which should be covered with common equity tier 1 capital on the consolidated level due to financial system’s structural properties.

The Financial Supervisory Authority has made a decision on the matter on the 29th of June and it will be effective on the 1st of July 2019.

Bonum Bank provides clearing, settlement and treasury services for POP Banks. Bonum Bank is an internal bank in the POP Bank group. As a central credit institution it provides banking services for other POP Banks hence reducing need for outside service providers.
